Page settings and publishing in the AI Hybrid Builder

Follow

This article is about the AI Hybrid Builder. To see how it compares with Classic Builder, read How the AI Hybrid Builder differs from Classic Builder.

Page settings

To open page settings, open the Layers and Pages tab, hover over your page's name under Pages (a new page is called Home), and click the gear icon. In Page Settings, you can set:

  • Page title, description, and keywords for search engines
  • Social sharing title, description, and image
  • Favicon
  • Custom HTML for your page
  • Whether search engines should list your page (noindex)

Changes to page settings save as you make them. There's no Update button.

New pages start with the title "Home," which is what shows in browser tabs and search results. Set your own page title before you publish.

Custom HTML

In Page Settings, you can add your own code in three places:

  • Custom HTML Head: inside the page's head, for things like tracking scripts and meta tags
  • Custom HTML After Body Tag: right after the page's opening body tag
  • Custom HTML Before Body End Tag: just before the end of the page

Custom HTML isn't available on the Starter plan. On Starter, these fields are disabled and show an upgrade message.

Preview your page

Click the Preview icon (the eye) in the top toolbar to see your page full screen. Switch between desktop, tablet, and mobile at the top, and click Back to editor when you're done. Use Preview to check videos, since they don't play while you edit.

Publish your page

Click Publish at the top right of the builder, then choose Publish Now or Schedule Publish. You can also publish from your page's overview. Until then, your page is unpublished and only you can see it.

If your account doesn't have a domain yet, you're asked to set one up the first time you publish. Enter a subdomain for your free ubpages.com address, check the Page Path, and click Save URL & Publish. To change a page's URL later, open your page's overview, click the ⋯ menu, and choose Edit Page URL.

When your page is live, you'll see a confirmation with its URL, and the Publish button changes to Republish. After you make changes, click Republish to update the live page.

To publish to your own domain, connect it first. See Connecting your domain to Unbounce.

Every published page includes free hosting, SSL, and CDN. Speed Boost is applied automatically when you publish.

When you publish, Unbounce also checks your page for phishing content.
