Create a page with Unbounce AI

This article is about the AI Hybrid Builder. To see how it compares with Classic Builder, read How the AI Hybrid Builder differs from Classic Builder.

Unbounce AI can build a complete landing page from a description, from a website you point it to, or from a template. This article covers each way to start.

Start a new page

  1. On your All Pages screen, click Create New.
  2. If you see a choice of builders, click Create with AI under Generate a landing page with AI in minutes.
  3. On the Create New Page screen, give your page a name (up to 100 characters). You need a name to continue.
  4. Choose how to start: describe your page under Build your page instantly with AI, choose Start with blank page, or choose Get started with a template.

To leave without creating a page, click Cancel.

Describe your page

Type a description of the page you want in the box under Build your page instantly with AI, then click the arrow to start. The more Unbounce AI knows about your campaign, the closer the first version will be. It helps to include:

  • What your business does and who the page is for
  • The action you want visitors to take, like booking a demo or downloading a guide
  • Your offer, pricing, or any details that must appear on the page
  • The tone you're going for

Tip: Upload your logo and brand images to your image library before you start. Unbounce AI can use them, and it makes a big difference to how closely the page matches your brand.

Some examples:

  • "Build a landing page for a local accounting firm offering free 30-minute tax consultations to small business owners. The goal is to get visitors to book a call. Keep the tone friendly and plain-spoken."
  • "Create a lead generation page for a project management app aimed at construction teams, with three customer benefits and a clear call to request a demo."
  • "Make a registration page for a free webinar on email marketing next Thursday. Include the speaker's bio and what attendees will learn."
  • "Build a page promoting 20% off our spring skincare collection for first-time customers. Link the main button to our online store."

Unbounce AI writes the copy, lays out the sections, and picks images. You can then change anything by asking in chat or editing it yourself. (See Edit your page with AI or on your own.)

What happens while Unbounce AI builds your page

Your page opens in the builder, and Unbounce AI works through it in the chat panel. First it researches what works for pages like yours, drawing on high-converting landing pages built with Unbounce, then it designs your page. You'll see short updates as it goes, like "Reviewing design inspiration" or "Adding a section," and each section appears on your page as it's added. Building a full page can take a few minutes.

To stop it partway, click the stop button in the chat panel. When it's done, Unbounce AI sums up what it built, section by section. Read the summary closely, since it lists anything you need to check before publishing, like details it made up. If your page has a form, see Build forms in the AI Hybrid Builder before you publish.

Base your page on a website you already have

Include a website address in your prompt, and Unbounce AI uses that site as a starting point for your page. For details, see Build a page from a website you already have.

Start from a template

Choose from 26 ready-made templates for common campaigns, like lead generation, webinars, and events. You can filter them by type and industry, or search by keyword. Edit a template with chat or by hand, the same as any other page.

Start from a blank page

Choose a blank page to build from scratch. Click a component to add it to your page, or ask Unbounce AI to add sections as you go. Building a blank page uses no AI credits. (See Edit your page with AI or on your own.)

Delete a page you don't need

To remove a page, go to its overview, click the ⋯ menu, and choose Delete.

Review your page before you publish

Unbounce AI can make mistakes. When your prompt leaves something out, it may add sample details to complete the page, like an event date, a speaker's name, or customer numbers. Before you publish, check the copy, prices, dates, names, statistics, links, and images on your page, and make sure you have the rights to publish everything on it. You're responsible for what goes live on your page. When you're ready, see Page settings and publishing in the AI Hybrid Builder.

AI credits

Each time Unbounce AI generates or changes your page, it uses AI credits from your account. (See How AI credits work.)

What Unbounce AI won't build

Unbounce AI follows content guidelines and will decline some requests. When it does, you'll see a message saying it can't generate content for that request. If you think a request was declined by mistake, contact Support. (See Using Unbounce AI responsibly.)

Unbounce AI's guidelines are stricter than what Unbounce allows on pages you build yourself. Anything you build by hand still needs to follow the Unbounce Terms of Service.
