Unbounce AI uses AI credits each time it generates or changes your page. Your plan includes a monthly allowance, and you can buy more when you need them. Buying credits isn't available on the Free plan or during a free trial.

Your monthly allowance

Your allowance renews at the start of each monthly billing period, which is based on your plan's start date rather than the 1st of the month. Unused credits from your allowance don't roll over to the next period.

Check your balance

The Credits bar sits at the top of the AI landing page assistant, under Unbounce AI. Hover over it to see how many credits you've used this period out of your allowance. Your balance updates after Unbounce AI finishes a task, so refresh the page if it looks out of date.

What uses credits

Credits are used when Unbounce AI builds or changes your page. Starting from a blank page and editing by hand uses no credits.

Editing your page in chat uses fewer credits than building a full page.

If you start a generation with credits left, it always finishes, even if it uses more credits than your remaining balance.

Buy more credits

On paid plans, you can buy extra credits (top-ups) in the app. Unbounce AI always uses your monthly allowance first, then any credits you've bought.

When you're running low

You'll see a warning in the chat when you've used about 70% of your monthly allowance, and again at about 90%. Only account admins can buy more credits, so if you're not an admin, the warning asks you to contact yours.

If you change your plan

• Upgrading: your new, larger allowance applies right away. Credits you've already used this period count toward it.
• Downgrading: your current allowance stays until the end of the billing period. The smaller allowance starts when the next period begins.

When you run out

If you run out of credits, you can:

• Upgrade your plan. See Changing your subscription plan type and/or length.
• Buy a top-up (not available on the Free plan or during a trial)
• Wait for your monthly allowance to renew

When you're out of credits, the chat locks. Select Get more credits (or the locked chat) to open the purchase window, and the chat unlocks once your purchase goes through. If you're not an account admin, you'll see a message asking you to contact your admin instead.

You can still edit your page by hand when you're out of credits.
