You’ve built your first landing page, congratulations! Now that you’ve got your page looking just the way you like it, there’s a whole slew of other tips and tricks you can do within Unbounce to prep your page and make your campaign even better!

Follow this pre-launch checklist to ensure that you’ve done everything in your power within Unbounce to make sure your landing page is in tiptop shape for your campaign. 

Set up and Connect Your Domain

Did you know that using your own personalized domain can improve your Google indexing and Google Ads ranking?

Customize your URL

Now that your domain is all set up and working, make sure you change your URL to customize it with your new personalized domain. 

Test Your Lead Integration

What’s the point of having an amazing landing page, if you’re not sure if you’re collecting those sweet leads? 

Our lead integrations connect straight to the third party CRM of your choice to streamline the process of leads collection for you. 

Test Your Javascript Integration

Have you added some custom javascript to your landing page? Save and publish your page on our unbouncepages domain before going live on your own domain. Thoroughly check to ensure that all your custom javascripts are firing and working as planned. 

Install and Test Your Conversion Tracking 

Are you interested in tracking your conversions using Google Ads Conversion Tracking, Facebook Pixel, or LinkedIn Pixel? Follow the previous links to set up your tracking, then save and publish your page on the unbouncepages domain to test that it’s working. 

Set Up your Favicon & Metadata

Does your company have its own favicon? You can add that favicon to your Unbounce landing page to customize how your landing page tab will appear in your audience’s browsers. 

While you’re at it, let’s make sure that your metadata is set up correctly, to give you that boost in SEO. 

Add Facebook Open Graph Tags

Let’s get your social media posts set up by customizing with open graph tags!

Double Check Your Mobile View

Make sure you toggle over to your mobile view to double check that everything is in line and in place. Check out our handy tips and tricks guide if you need some help making sure everything is in tip top shape. 

How’s Your Branding?

Does your landing page branding match your brand strategy? Do you have easy to read copywriting, great design and a strong Call to Action?

Ensure Your Conversions are being Counted

Set up your conversion goals in Unbounce to make sure they’re being tracked.

Are All Your Link URLs Correct? 

Double check all of your link URLs on your page by clicking on them to confirm they’re going to the right destination. 

Make All Your Form Fields Required and Add Hidden Fields (if applicable)

Set your form fields to required, to ensure the customer fills out your entire form. If you want to  capture incoming URL parameters, you’ll also want to set up your hidden fields. 

View Your Page in Chrome Inspector or Browserstack

Use a tool such as Browserstack to make sure all scripts and styling are set up correctly and your page appears as you mean it to appear on different browsers. 

Reset Your Test Data and Set Up Your IP Filter

Reset your test data, and set up your IP filter to block specific IPs such as the ones for your company for testing purposes.
