Embedding an Instant Messenger Button in Smart Builder

This article will explain how to add an on-brand chat flyout button to your page to message your page visitors through WhatsApp and Telegram instantly.

Adding the Instant Messenger App

  1. Navigate to the Apps  tab within the left-hand side of the menu at the top of Smart Builder.
  2. Search and locate the Instant Messenger App.
  3. Click the plus button next to Instant Messenger to install the app.
  4. A new window will appear under the Apps menu after you install the app. You are required to add at least one of the following:
    • A WhatsApp phone number,
    • A Telegram phone number, or
    • A Telegram username
  5. You also have the option to modify the following settings:
    • Chat button text,
    • Chat button HEX color, and the 
    • Chat button text HEX color
      • Hex Color Codes are values that tell your web browser how to display different colors.

Be sure to Save and Publish your page for your changes to take effect!

Publish & visit the live page. The chatbot will appear on the right-hand corner of the page:

Updating the Instant Messenger App Settings

If you need to change the phone number or username of your WhatsApp or Telegram app, or want to make changes to the design or colors, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Apps  tab within the left-hand side of the menu at the top of Smart Builder.
  2. Scroll down to the Installed Apps section.
  3. Click the gear  icon next to the Instant Messenger App; the app settings will reappear. 
  4. Update the information as needed.  


The Instant Messenger App is only visible on published pages.
