Adding, Deleting or Changing Elements in Smart Builder

Smart Builder just got more customizable, thanks to Drag & Drop. You can quickly & easily add, delete, or swap elements or Apps in or out without changing the existing template.

This article will explain the following:

Adding New Elements

Seamlessly add new elements to your page, such as Texts, Headlines, Images, Buttons, Groups, or even some Unbounce Apps:

  1. Click the Add tab on the left-hand side of Smart Builder.
  2. Here, you'll see the option to drag different elements or an App onto your page:

  3. Click and drag the element onto your page. When the area within the section highlights a green color, you can drop the element into that spot:

Be sure to Save & Republish/Publish your page.

Deleting Elements

You may notice an element in a section that you'd like to remove altogether from your page. Instead of changing the element for another, you can delete it directly within Smart Builder!

  1. Navigate to your landing page in Smart Builder. 
  2. Single-click the element in Smart Builder, and a few control will appear.
  3. Click the Delete icon.
  4. A confirmation message will appear, asking to confirm the element deletion. 
  5. Select Delete:

That's it! The element will no longer appear on the landing page. Be sure to Save & Republish/Publish your page. 

To undo this action, click the undo button at the top right-hand corner of Smart Builder. 

Changing Elements

With Smart Builder, you can quickly & easily swap elements in or out without adding/deleting other elements. This makes building pages with Smart Builder more flexible.

  1. Locate an element that you'd like to change with another element. At this time, you can swap the following elements with one another.
  2. Single-click the element in Smart Builder, and a few control will appear.
  3. Click the Change Element icon:

  4. A drop-down menu will appear with categorized tabs; each tab includes the different element options: 
    • For example, the Text tab includes different text formats. The Forms tab consists of a form, and the Social Media tab would consist of any social media Unbounce Apps you've downloaded:

Edit the new element as you like! Be sure to Save and Publish your page when you're all set.
