Applying Smart Copy Everyday Tools

Write, rewrite, or expand content or copy with a click of a button with any of Smart Copy's Everyday Tools:

This article will cover the following Smart Copy Everyday Tools:

  1. Writer Feature

Writer Feature

The Writer feature is Smart Copy's long-form writing canvas with no character limits. It allows you to work on and edit content directly in the app, save it, and return to it at your convenience.

Summarize Feature

Shorten and synthesize long pieces of copy (without losing any messaging) using the Summarize feature in Smart Copy. 

Input any pre-written text, and the Summarize feature will help condense the copy quick and easy.

  1. From the Smart Copy Templates page, scroll down and click Summarize.
  2.  The Prompt page will appear.
  3. Type in the text you'd like Smart Copy to summarize, and double-check that you're generating copy for the right Project:

  4. When you've added text, click Write For Me.
  5. Smart Copy will provide recommendations of summarized text on the right-hand side:

You're all set! From here, you can copy, save, or share the updated content.

If you want Smart Copy to generate more recommendations, click the Write For Me button again. 

Content Expander

The Content Expander automatically generates additional content for you. Input any pre-written text as a starting point, and the Content Expander will help you write the following sentence or paragraph.

  1. From the Smart Copy Templates page, scroll down and click Content Expander.
  2. The Prompt page will appear.
  3. Type in the Summary and Topic relating to your content, and double-check that you're generating copy for the right Project:
    Two text fields: one to input a Topic, and another to input a Summary.

    • If you'd like, you can adjust the Tone and Length that you'd like the copy to be.

  4. Once you've updated the Topic, and Summary, click Write For Me.
  5. Smart Copy will provide recommendations of expanded content on the right-hand side:

You're all set! From here, you can copy, save, or share the updated content.

If you want Smart Copy to generate more recommendations, click the Write For Me button again. 

Tone Changer

Are you looking to change how your copy sounds to appeal to your audiences more? Smart Copy's Tone Changer helps you rephrase and restate your content; it's the same message, but different delivery.

  1. From the Smart Copy Templates page, scroll down and click Tone Changer.
  2.  The Prompt page will appear.
  3. In the field, type in the copy that you'd like to update the tone for and double-check that you're generating copy for the right Project:
    One text fields to input the content you wish to update the tone for.
    • If you'd like, you can adjust the Tone and Length that you'd like the copy to be.
  4. When you've updated the text, Tone and Length, click Write For Me.
  5. Smart Copy will provide recommendations for expanded content on the right-hand side:

You're all set! From here, you can copy, save, or share the updated content.

If you want Smart Copy to generate more recommendations, click the Write For Me button again. 

Remix Feature

Quickly refresh and repurpose content; the Remix tool takes existing content and generates new versions of the same content with different variations.

  1. From the Smart Copy Templates page, scroll down and click Remix.
  2.  The Prompt page will appear.
  3. In the field, type in the text that you'd like Smart Copy to remix, and double-check that you're generating copy for the right Project:
    One text fields to input the content you wish to remix.
    • If you'd like, you can adjust the Tone and Length that you'd like the copy to be.
  4. When you've updated the text, Tone and Length, click Write For Me.
  5. A new page will appear with a list of copy recommendations for you to choose from:

And that's it! Scroll down to see more copy recommendations from the list.

If you'd like Smart Copy to curate even more suggestions, click the Write More button at the top. 

Saving, Copying, or Sharing Content

Once you land on the page with copy recommendations, you can click on the icons to complete the following actions:

Share: A popup will appear with the different embed options, or methods of sharing via email, a link share, and more.

Copy to clipboard: Copy the generated content directly to your clipboard, and paste it to other websites.

Save and Edit: Save content to access it later! You can access all previously saved content within the Saved tab on the left-hand side navbar of Smart Copy.
