Creating a Page With Smart Builder

This article will explain each step when creating your page with Smart Builder:

  1. Creating a Smart Builder page,
  2. Designing your page

Creating a Smart Builder Page

Note:

Please be aware that Smart Builder pages are not cross-compatible with Classic Builder.

  1. Log into the Unbounce Conversion Intelligence™ Platform.
  2. Click the Create New button on the top-right corner to create a new landing page. 
  3. Choose the option to create a page with Smart Builder:

Designing Your Page

Our Design Assistant in Smart Builder will craft page design recommendations based on details about your Client and Unbounce account. 

  1. Within the Design page, include information about your page's purpose, and whether you'd like to include a form on your page:

  2. Click See Your Page to view the design of your page (so far).
  3. Begin by choosing a theme based on Your Brand:
    Select a theme based on your brand colors and styles.
    • Smart Builder pulls details about brand colors and fonts from the information you provided during your sign-up process.
  4. Sift through the different design options by clicking the tabs on the right-hand side (Design 1, Design 2, and Design 3):

    • Rest assured; you can update the page typography (fonts, font family, text size), page sections, and background colors in later steps when designing and editing your page.
  5. For some more options, click the Other Design Themes button and select for Unbounce's existing theme options:

Click Edit Your Copy at the bottom left-hand corner to save these changes and to begin adding copy to your page.

Creating Copy using the Copy Assistant 

After the Design step, the next step is the Copy Assistant.

The Copy Assistant is Unbounce's built-in wordsmith that will generate high-converting copy - for your entire landing page - catered to your audience, industry, and conversion goals.

The Copy Assistant can curate up to three examples of relevant copy for your page. 

To demonstrate this in action, the example provided below is a landing page for a Digital Agency.

  1. To start, input a description of your company:

  2. Once you’ve added the description, click the Generate Copy.
  3. The Copy Assistant will curate relevant and insightful copy for your landing page’s headings and paragraphs:

This is one of the three options the Copy Assistant can provide you.

If you're happy with the copy generated, you can click Choose This Option and start building your page. Or, for more suggestions, toggle the Enhanced Copy button:

  1. Here, you’ll need to provide the Copy Assistant with more details about your brand and purpose. Enter the following details:
    • Brand Descriptions
    • Target Audience
    • Your product feature
    • Your product benefits:
      Enhanced Copy fields.
  2. Click Generate More Copy.
  3. A second option of your landing page with different copy suggestions will appear:

  4. You can click the Generate More Copy a third time, giving you three copy suggestions for your pages.
    • At this time, three is the maximum.
  5. Select one of the three copy recommendation options, and click Choose This Option to apply it to your page.

Do note that applying the Copy Assistant during the setup will mean that Copy Insights will be unavailable when editing your page later.

After clicking the Choose This Option, Smart Builder will refresh, and you can begin editing your page:

Editing Your Page
