Setting Up Your Insightly CRM Integration
Check out the video or read the steps below on how to set up an Insightly CRM integration:
1. In the Page Overview screen for the landing page you wish to integrate, navigate to the Integrations tab, and from the list of Native Integrations, click Insightly CRM:
2. Enter your Insightly API Key and URL
3. Wait for Unbounce to validate your authentication and permissions.
4. Specify how your Unbounce leads should be sent to your Insightly CRM
You can choose:
- Whether you want form completions to be sent to Insightly CRM as Lead or Contact record types
- Whether you'd like each new Unbounce lead to be created as a new Insightly record, or in cases where an existing record with a matching email address exists, have that record updated.
Note: Availability of these options may be dependent on user permissions. If you don't have the necessary permissions, speak with your Insightly CRM administrator to have them adjusted.
5. Once the Integration is set up, you can adjust the field mapping settings, so your form fields in Unbounce will map to the designated fields in Insightly CRM.
If you are interested in capturing which Unbounce landing page your leads or contacts are coming from in your Insightly CRM you have a variety of options available. All Unbounce forms include some hidden fields by default, including Page ID, Page Variant and Page url. Additionally you have the flexibility to define additional hidden fields which you can specify default values of your choosing.
During field mapping these Unbounce fields can then be mapped to either standard Insightly object fields or you can choose to create custom fields to map these values to as desired.
With this level of customization you have a lot of flexibility in determining how you want to track the Unbounce page of origin for your Insightly CRM contacts or leads.
Note: First name is a required field for Contact records and Last name is a required field for Lead records. If you select 'Update the existing record' where a matching email already exists in the Insightly CRM, 'email' will also be a required field. An error message will be shown if there are required fields that have not been mapped. It's a good idea to ensure these fields which are mandatory for field mapping are also set as mandatory in your Unbounce form otherwise visitors to your Unbounce landing page may fail to enter them and these records will fail to populate in your CRM.
It's a good idea to ensure these fields which are mandatory for field mapping are also set as mandatory in your Unbounce form, otherwise vistors to your Unbounce landing page may not complete them and these records will fail to populate in your CRM.
6. That's it! Any new leads to this page will now be created as the appropriate record type in your Insightly CRM account.
