How Does Unbounce Track My Page’s Unique Visitors?

Follow

Unbounce uses a Page Visitor cookie, named ubvs, to track page traffic. The cookie uniquely (but anonymously) identifies the visitor for future return visits. This cookie is stored in your browser, so if a visitor uses a different browser, they will be counted as a new unique visitor in Unbounce.

Our Unbounce Page Visitor cookie expires after 180 days.

  • Any visit by this visitor using the same browser during the 180 days will be counted as a repeat visitor (and therefore not unique).
  • Upon the 180 day expiry of the cookie, this visitor will once again be counted as a new unique visit.
